Understanding the Nature of Failure
David’s prayer in Psalm 51:10–12 shows us what to do with failure. Notice the language: “Create in me…” The Hebrew word baraʾ means “to create out of nothing.” This is powerful. David understood that he couldn’t fix himself. He needed God to do what only God could do—restore his heart and renew his spirit.
